In the Face of Failure

In the face of failure I laugh and cry,
‘Cause I know that I can and I won’t die.
Surprise me, life! I’ll take you head on!
I’ve lost this round, but the match I have won!

I have no clue where I’m going with this,
But I won’t give in to the negative hiss
Of those who want me to live in regret
Of “I chose my path and my life is set!”

No! Surprise me, life! I am yet to prove
How strong my will is, and mountains I’ll move!
The map is blurry, but I have good sight –
I’ll find my way through and on I will fight!
